Organization Department

While the technical team focuses on the design and production of the car, the organization team takes on the often unseen but equally critical aspects of the process. In Formula Student competitions, success is not only about engineering; it also depends on financial management, communication, promotion, and strategic planning. For this reason, the organization team is structured into different sub-units, each with an essential role.

Cost & Manufacturing team prepares the cost report and production analysis of the car. Beyond calculating the price of each part, they evaluate manufacturing methods, labor times, machine hours, and alternative production techniques. Through this work, students gain experience in production economics, pricing strategies, and industry-standard costing methods.

CCBOM (Carbon Cost Bill of Materials) team adds a sustainability dimension to the project. In addition to cost analysis, they calculate the carbon footprint, energy consumption, and emission values of selected components. This enables students to experience the environmental responsibility aspect of engineering and to apply “green engineering” practices in real-world scenarios.

Business Plan Presentation (BPP) team represents the entrepreneurial and business perspective of Formula Student. Treating the team as a startup, they develop a business model that could be presented to potential investors. They work on market analysis, financial projections, and sustainability plans. Since the presentation is delivered to international juries, team members improve both their investor pitching skills and their professional English, gaining strong competencies in business development and entrepreneurship for their future careers.

Sponsorship & Communication team serves as the external face of the project. They negotiate sponsorship agreements, manage brand communication, and coordinate participation in fairs and events. Through these responsibilities, students gain practical experience in professional communication, brand management, and building networks with the business world.

Promotion & Media team is responsible for shaping the team’s visual identity. The website, social media content, posters, videos, and printed materials are all created by this group. Combining creativity with technical skills, they play a key role in defining how the team is presented to the outside world.
